![]() In real life that would be awful because you would see 3 of the same 4 in the final still every year. There was going to be an option of having a 4, 8, and 16 team playoff in dynasty mode. Rumors were that they were planning on putting in a bunch of new features that would have been customizable in dynasty mode. It sucks that they pulled the plugged on the game when they did. They had really finally gotten to the point where the game was really customized. I believe I replaced the MAC schools with the PSAC. I made the entire PSAC and would play a dynasty mode as IUP in the PSAC. My wish would be that they bring that back. It really allowed you to customize an entirely new team. The NCAA 14 Teambuilder website was awesome. I would love for what you're suggesting to happen, but I'm doubtful it will. The got rid of the FCS schools when teams the games started moving onto the next gen systems (PS3 and Xbox 360). When I'm home, my dad and I have fun playing a Harvard-Yale matchup or William & Mary-Youngstown State game. ![]() The rosters weren't accurate and they didn't have stadiums or playbooks, but they were at least in the game. On the previous gen systems like Xbox and PS2, they included all of the FCS teams. Every D2 logo + 5 D2 stadiums for an extra $10? I'm in.From what I understood back in the day, they stopped including FCS teams because their was only so much they could include. It'd be nice if they provided logo and uniform packages for the smaller divisions. I hope it's resolved but the game is bigger than the players.Īnyway, I'm excited to see a new game come out. I know it's a big thrill for the players. An average fan may know like 1-2 names off of any P5 team. That's good enough for me if they can't work out the rest. Make the teams with the cool graphics, announcers, etc. New things are created for the game every couple of months by some random guys who know how to code and do that techy stuff.I could care less about specific players. It's truly amazing, but NCAA Football 14 is constantly evolving even years later. The most recent update made some major changes that essentially created a brand new game. You can now download an edited version and play a dynasty mode that has the College Football Playoff built into it. There's very tech savvy people who create "mods" of the original game to basically edit and rewrite what EA developed on the original game. The community is very active and updates rosters every year that you can download for each new season. The game has a devout, cult-like following. It's quite amazing how NCAA Football 14 has managed to stand the test of time. New things are created for the game every couple of months by some random guys who know how to code and do that techy stuff. I'm willing to bet that doesn't happen either. The hope for the gamers out there is that they utilize the old "Teambuilder" site and let you basically customize your roster. I'm envisioning they just create the teams, but have very generic rosters. I agree that it will be interesting to see how they handle that stuff now. They made the rosters pretty close on the last version of NCAA Football, which was right in the middle of that lawsuit that basically killed the game. ![]() I was a HUGE player of the NCAA Football games when EA was pumping them out every July. I have a funny feeling that this game might be a dud.
